We have recently moved to Maine from New York to start our own food cart
business. We are selling panelle and polenta sandwiches which are
Italian street foods made from chickpeas and cornmeal. We offer a couple
of different varieties and everything will be made from scratch by us
and all of the ingredients will be obtained locally. We also have farinata, which we make into a gluten free chickpea crepe.
One of our
main goals is to sustain a simple way of life based on our artistic and
culinary backgrounds while contributing to the local food movement here
in Maine. It is very important to us that we offer people the option of
eating a locally sourced, homemade product that is healthy and
inexpensive instead of the fast food that’s so prevalent all across the
country.
